This tin ceiling tile measures 72.5 x 18.5. It is painted white with a small purple square with an ornate floral Victorian plate design. It has wear from age and previous installation and some small holes are present and rust in showing lightly in a few spots.
This tin ceiling tile was salvaged from the Boston Hotel in Pioneer Square, Seattle. This historic hotel was built in 1907, a decade after the Klondike Gold Rush, was originally home to the Puget Sound Hardware Co. The hardware store outfitted prospectors, and the hotel upstairs was where the prospectors stayed. The Boston Hotel later became home to Sullivan's, one of Seattle's first taverns. This historic building now has a law office on the main floor and 4 luxury apartments above.
