This corner tin ceiling tile measures 11.25 x 12.5 x 2. It is painted while with a shell inspired face plate design. Some of the original wood is attached but may need some refurbishing. Some rust, nail holes and discoloration is present.
This tin ceiling tile was salvaged from the Boston Hotel in Pioneer Square, Seattle. This historic hotel was built in 1907, a decade after the Klondike Gold Rush, was originally home to the Puget Sound Hardware Co. The hardware store outfitted prospectors, and the hotel upstairs was where the prospectors stayed. The Boston Hotel later became home to Sullivan's, one of Seattle's first taverns. This historic building now has a law office on the main floor and 4 luxury apartments above.
