A lot of 24 pieces from the Music Box theater, which stood between the Rialto and Pantages theaters on 9th and Broadway in downtown Tacoma. Formerly known as the Tacoma Theatre when it was opened in 1890, it is said that it saw the likes of Mark Twain and Harry Houdini among countless others. The building received a renovation in 1927 to become a movie theater called the Broadway Theater and that is when it is believed these pieces were added. After that, the building became the Music Box Theatre in 1933. 30 years later in 1963, it burned to the ground. These pieces are hollow terracotta/brick-like pieces filled in with concrete. There are two finished end pieces, making it possible to have a nicely finished run. Each piece is roughly 15.75 x 8.25 x 5 inches, giving you about 31.5 feet of workable material. There are plenty of imperfections, but that is to be expected of something nearing a century in age!
