WWII era revision of Websteru2019s Imperial Dictionary. I'm going to guess the early 1940s?. Pages torn at the front and back make determining a specific year of publication difficult. A little light reading though tells me that WWI has happened, yet no mention of a second WW. The latest mentioned date I can find is of the consulting editor Harold Whitehall who served as a professor of English at Queens College and Guggenheim Fellow for English in the year 1939-1940. Id also say that the army green tweed cover is unoriginal due to its uncharacteristic nature of Webster dictionaries. Modern maps have been laid on the inner cover faces as well. This book may have had a few personalized touches over the years, but nevertheless it is an impressively massive collection of the modern English language. This book is huge - over 2000 pages - Dimensions: 8.75 x 11.25 x 5.5
