From Lightolier, known for high quality, this light fixture is just that. Made of either cast or spun brass, it feels solidly made, refreshing contrast to the typical modern offerings. This one is from the mid 20th century. It is in excellent condition. It appears to have been carefully restored with new electrical. It was modified to hang from a hook on top of the canopy and the is a plug at the end of a 30" cord.
