This vintage painted glass comes from a 1956 "Key West" pinball game manufactured by Bally. It's in good shape for it's age with no cracks. Most of the color is in tact, but some is missing, only really noticeable when it's backlit (second picture). In this era, pinball back glass was made using a screen printing process - incredible! This unique and colorful piece of gaming history is sure to bring some sunny tropical flair to any space - shake off the Seattle winter with this rare piece of gaming history!
Produced by Bally Manufacturing Co. in 1956, "Key West" was an electromechanical pinball game designed to pay out like a slot machine if a player achieved a winning line of numbers. It was also one of the first machines to allow scoring while players could manipulate the numbers with "Select-A-Score" and "Magic Squares" features. In this era, pinball back glass was made using a screen printing process (like on T Shirts) - incredible!
