Contents: Aromatic Spirit of Ammonia, a gastric, cardiac, and general stimulant, restorative, carminative, antacid, and expectorant. It contained 63 percent alcohol (U.S.P. 10th Rev.) and complied with the U.S.P. XI standard.
Properties: Historically used as "smelling salts" to treat fainting or as a general stimulant.
