This exceptional old growth coastal cedar was milled by Earthwise on private land that was clear cut by loggers in the 1960s. These huge logs were left behind and forgotten for 60 years, but are in amazingly good condition thanks to cedar's rot resistant properties. Due to the harsh growing conditions on the coast, only the strongest and slowest growing trees survive, yielding incredibly tight grain lumber. Old growth cedar is very rare and used in making musical instruments, carved masks, fine furniture, and whatever awesome projects EW customers can dream up! This lumber was milled to minimize waste, so there is a mix of live edge and lumber of various sizes available.
