Based on the patent number, we currently suspect this drill press of being an Atlas bench-top drill press made circa 1940s. It’s currently sporting a Sears Craftsman Motor (Model No.113.12130). This power tool has a sturdy cast iron body, shiny steel knobs and pulls, and a very satisfying on/off switch. The press is missing its space helmet/top cover and there is an arc of drill marks in the press plate (which is frankly a little charming).
This power tool is untested and has a fraying cable (see photo).
