African Carved Wooden Mask

This ornate mask is carved from wood and embellished with shells, colorful beads and hammered brass plates and strips. It was handmade, most likely in Ghana around the mid-to-late 20th century when the sale of tribal-style art to tourists and visitors became popularized.
This piece measures about 7.5 x 24 x 3.5 and has a leather strap back so it can hang on a nail.
