Antique Shelf Clock

$75

18.25W x 29.25H x 5.75D
Made by Daniel Pratt Jr. out of Reading, Mass. Dated to 1842 this clock while not operational, has an awesome patina and a rich history in the world of American clockmaking.
We believe it is missing some internal components, but the dial, glass, and wood are all in good shape considering it’s age.
It appears to be veneered with some species of tropical hardwood, though we can not definitively confirm that.
The veneer has some cracking and de-lamination shown in photos.
One of the strongest aspects of this unique piece is it’s dial. The hand painted ornate numbers have aged beautifully over the years.
This clock also features an old school mercury mirror.
The last interesting thing worth noting about this clock is the piece of paper glued onto the inside cabinet more or less stating the maker, Daniel Pratt Jr., the year it was produced, and other information pertaining to the clock that is hard to make out due to the paper degrading overtime. Our point being, it looks super cool.
You can mount this clock in your living room and nerd out on all of your guests the second they ask about it and make them regret ever bringing it up!
