Between the subtle detail in the spindles and classic dental moulding this piece is a show stopper. Constructed almost entirely out of old growth cedar, the finish has a very slight shimmer.
Salvaged from a Seattle home built in 1901. Made from cedar and never been painted. This piece would have hung from the ceiling on the 1st floor and below the stairs. Possibly near the entry or foyer. This is one part of the stair system where they are now being sold as individual elements. A beautiful piece from over 100 years ago. A testament to the craftsmanship so rarely seen these days.
