We pulled this gem out of a seemingly ancient copper tube this morning to discover a truly extraordinary piece of Washington history. This antique map of 1920s Mason County is the impressively tactical work of one David White, Civil Engineer, who has seemed to create an expansive series of hand drawn maps of all of Washington in various scales, locations, and focuses. The thin paper has held impressively, forgive some wrinkled edges from a century of age, but the ink is still in fantastic condition, and I have no doubt that that is due to the impressive storage it has had since its original drawing most likely.
